Jewelry passed down from grandmothers shouldn't be left sitting in the jewelry box – bring it into Stone House and have it transformed into beautiful fashion pieces that carry sentimental value.
1. Consultation
We begin the custom process with a consultation between the customer and designer. Ideas, inspiration, and overall look is discussed to create the basis for design.
2. Design
After reviewing the consultation ideas, a sketch is drawn. It is shown to the customer for approval and final comments
3. Wax Carving
A wax is then hand-carved from the sketch, creating an exact replica of what the piece will look like. Customers can see the details and physical characteristics of the piece before it gets cast for final approval.
4. Casting
Once the wax is approved by the customer, it gets cast into the metal of choice... Gold, Sterling Silver, Platinum etc.
5. Fabrication
After the jewelry is cast into the metal form, it's time to fabricate. Any custom metal add-ons are done at this time, including crowns, and other accents.
6. Setting
With the fabrication being complete, the stone setting can begin. Each stone, large or small, is hand-set into the design. All stones are carefully and meticulously set and secured to ensure longevity and durability of the jewelry.
7. Finishing
The final step in the process is texturing and polishing. This gives the piece shine and luster, bringing out the brilliance in the metal as well as the stones.
A word on Pricing……….Sometimes people think that custom jewelry is far more expensive than something found in the jewelry case. This is simply not true! At Stone House Jewelers we keep our cost down by not having a large inventory. We carry a few unique designs and that's it. The reason behind this is to pass the savings onto you the customer. We can offer custom jewelry in a wide price range, due to our low overhead cost. We also create each piece to be of superior strength a durability. We do not cut corners! Old Gold………Bring in your broken jewelry, old kinked chains, rings with missing stones, or any other gold jewelry no longer worn. We can melt down the gold and re-use it into a new piece designed specifically for you.
Want to switch from yellow gold to white gold? No worries, We can trade in the old yellow for money off of the white gold.
We will work with people on the trading, melting, or selling of any old gold jewelry.
